I'm in a role-play on Anatheria. It's about stray dogs, basically, and Ooze-sama started it. I whipped up these quick sheets last night when I first requested to join. <3
--
- Name: Icasta
- Age: He’s about two or so in human years. I forgot how to count dog years. It used to be seven dog years for every human year, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case.
- Gender: He’s 100% male, even though he’s a puny little thing.
- Breed: Ica is a purebred; both his mother and father were Chinese Crested dogs and they were both raised in Sydney, Australia. He, however, was raised in London, England.
- Appearance: To my knowledge, there are two distinct types of Chinese Crested. One has lighter hair and the other has darker. Icasta is of the second kind. His skin is the same dark brown shade as his lighter counterparts, but the little bit of hair he possesses – on his head, his paws, and the end of his tail – is as ebony as a warhorse. He has a few pink spots on his chest that most resemble the color of the typical Caucasian. His eyes are very unusual for his breed; they’re bright blue and have little flecks of brown in them. He’s a very rare find. If you don’t know what a Chinese Crested is, I suggest you look them up on Google.
- Personality: He’s not the most open of all dogs, but he certainly won’t turn away good company when he finds it. He’s far more intelligent than he acts sometimes; his first master was a scientist and a mathematician, so he picked up most of his extended vocabulary and his knowledge of science, mathematics, and the inner workings of machinery from the human. He cannot write, of course, as he lacks opposable thumbs. He can, however, read quite well. If you give him something to read, he’ll undoubtedly be able to read and pronounce it with ease. He doesn’t like to show off his intelligence, though, so he acts as average as he possibly can. He has a bit of a temper, but it only flares up when he’s forced into certain situations. For example, he hates it when other dogs think he’s weak because of his small size. He’s the opposite, though he isn’t the strongest dog in existence. He believes in brain over brawn, and he’ll find his way out of any tight squeeze using the big, squishy organ he harbors in his skull. As a side-note, you might want to avoid discussing height with him. He hates his stature; he’s very short.
- Image: There isn’t one. I couldn’t find one to match Ica, and...I don’t like using images for my characters, anyway. ^^; I hope you understand my view point, dear role-play patrons.
- Name: Desmane
- Age: Hmm...that’s a difficult one. He’s older than Icasta, but younger than Bloodwork. He’s probably three or so in human years.
- Gender: Male, folks. He’s a male to the extreme.
- Breed: Liver spotted dalmatian. Yes, he’s a thoroughbred. Liver spotted Dalmatians are rare, and he was very fortunate to be one of the few and the unique.
- Appearance: Des is pretty thin, but he’s not to the point of emaciation. He survives by digging through garbage cans, whereas Icasta – being the brains of the operation – gets fresh food using his own special talents. It’s natural for a stray to be unhealthy, isn’t it? Despite his haggard physical build, he’s healthy mentally and internally. His base color is white, but his spots are brown instead of black. He also has many more spots than the average dalmatian; they seem to cluster in groups, especially on his chest and stomach. He has a few black spots scattered on his body, but it’s mostly brown. His entire left ear is black, though. His entire right ear is white. His eyes are a very light, clear brown and they almost always seem alive with excitement, even when his mood doesn’t suggest it. He keeps a black ribbon tied around his front-right paw to remind him that the little girl that once owned him truly cared about him. When she died, he left, but he kept her ribbon with him to keep her memory alive. He became a stray unintentionally, unlike Icasta and Bloodwork.
- Personality: Des is pretty goofy most of the time; he’s rarely serious. He sees life as a time for fun, especially youth. His policy is fun before work, no matter what the gravity of the situation may be. When he is serious, it’s usually about Lillian, his former master. She was six when she was diagnosed with cancer, and she suffered for three years before she finally passed away. He was given to her as a get well present when she was first diagnosed. When he thinks about her, he’ll often become extremely quiet and try to hide away behind a dumpster. Or in a dumpster. He’s usually a lively, hyperactive pooch, though. He loves chasing butterflies and other small animals, but he would never hurt them. He wouldn’t even hurt a cat. He’s a bit of a pacifist, but he’ll attack when provoked. Bloodwork does most of the fighting, though. Des has an extremely short attention span, and he tends to ramble on about nothing in particular. His kindness makes him an automatic hit with other dogs.
- Image: See Ica’s bio for the reason why there is no picture.
- Name: Bloodwork
- Age: Four in human years
- Gender: Male
- Breed: Work is a German shepherd/wolf hybrid. He was born on the streets, but was soon captured and spent most of his life in the pound. A young married couple tried to adopt him and he escaped when they moved him from the pound to their home in San Francisco. As his breed suggests, he is very territorial and will protect what he classifies as “his”. That includes Icasta and Desmane. They’re his lackeys. xD They don’t know they are, but...he pretty much uses Icasta for his intelligence and Desmane for his innate ability to distract enemies.
- Appearance: Work’s base color is charcoal – a very dark shade of grey that is almost black. However, from his chin to his toes he’s black. He inherited his odd coloring from his mother, but his shepherd appearance from his father. His front-left paw is white from the knee down, but the toes are black. He has bright green eyes, which he got from his mother. His ears and tail are more wolf-like, but his general build resembles a shepherd more than a wolf.
- Personality: He doesn’t have one, really. He doesn’t feel emotion. Well, ok. He feels anger, indifference, and disinterest, but that’s about it. The only happiness he feels is a malevolent, cynical happiness, and he doesn’t regret anything he says or does. Icasta does that for him. He’s pretty self-centered most of the time, because he doesn’t feel love or compassion. He cares about himself; that’s it. He does what he pleases and hurts whomever he sees fit. He’s not the kind of person you’d want to meet in a dark alley in the middle of the night. He’d probably kill you for looking at him. Heck, he’d probably kill you for being born. xD He’s very violent and enjoys blood almost as much as he enjoys being in control. Although Icasta is the smart one of the group, Bloodwork can make him obey commands through a show of brute force. Work is pretty smart, himself. He’s malevolently intelligent, whereas Ica is the normal kind of intelligent. Without the maiming and the killing and all. >>;
